Registering with The Study English & Homestay Abroad Program, and finding yourself studying English and living with a real homestay family, couldn’t be easier!

Follow our easy step by step guide below and you could be on your way to the experience of a lifetime!

Step one: Study this website. Make sure you browse all the different sections of this website so you know exactly where and when you want to go, which course you want to join, which type of accommodation you want to live in, what exactly is involved in the visa application process, and what are our terms & conditions and refund policies.

Step two: Read the registration page again. There is a lot of information that we need to process your registration as quickly as possible, and by reading the registration page before registering, you can prepare this information more easily.

Step three: Find a sponsor. The Visitor Visa application process not only requires many different documents from you, but also a sponsor. Your sponsor is someone who will provide a financial guarantee for you, preferably someone who owns their own business, with proof of financial status including personal bank statements and their company’s financial records.

Step four: Register. Make sure you register a minimum of 4 weeks before your intended trip will begin. After you register, you will be sent an email to the email address you have provided, so it is very important your email address information is accurate. Check your email address inbox for our acknowledgement of your registration.

(If we are having technical difficulties, and you don’t receive an email confirming registration, please register again. If you still don’t receive an email, please send us an email with your details and we will do everything we can to resolve the issue.)

Step five: Confirmation. After we have processed your registration and made the initial bookings, we will send you an email asking you to confirm these details.

Step six: Payment. After you have confirmed the bookings, we will send you an email with details of the payment process. Payment can be made by bank transfer to our BNI account, in either Indonesian Rupiah or American Dollars.

Step seven: The travel agent – part 1. After we have received your payment, you will have to take all the documents necessary for the visa application process to our travel agent. Remember to collect receipts for all the items the travel agent retains.

Step eight: The travel agent – part 2. When the visa application is complete, you will need to return to the travel agent to collect your documents.

• If the visa application process is successful, you will collect all the documents the travel agent retained (don’t forget to take those receipts), including your passport, with your visa stamped inside, and your flight tickets.
  
• If the visa application is unsuccessful, you will collect all the documents as mentioned above, apart from the flight tickets, and your passport will not have a visa stamped inside. Please note that the travel agent will not give any refunds, all refunds will be transferred from our BNI account directly into the account you transferred from.

Step nine: Prepare for your trip. You can never be too prepared! Review all the details one more time to make sure you are completely organised. Make sure you are totally prepared for your trip, try to find any information you can from the embassy website, and other tourist/visitor websites, and consider what you will take and what you will do while you are there. We will send you one more email wishing you a great trip and reviewing your trip details.

Step ten: Have a great trip! Remember to be careful while you are there – always listen to your teachers, course leaders and homestay family, and ask them any questions you might have, work hard on the English course, and try to learn as much as you can - not only about the language, but also about the country and culture. Finally, don’t forget to get involved in the school’s activities, find new friends from different countries, as well as from your host country, and have lots of fun!
